Job Description: Assist Chef Owner in prepping and readying dosa meals for startup restaurant in the very cool town of Brattleboro, Vermont.

Dosa Kitchen is built upon the concept of creating South Indian dishes using both classic and contemporary techniques, paying homage to the land and culture from which they originate while incorporating many local ingredients and offering playful hybrids (for example, the One and Only Dosa Dog). The menu is a reflection of the food Chef Nash Patel grew up with in Hyderabad, India, and cookbook author Leda Scheintaub’s mission to eat both globally and locally. We strive to provide sustainable, local, and non-GMO ingredients prepared with dedication to quality. Humanely raised meats are a nonnegotiable part of the menu.

Indian cooking background is not required, but good knife and general kitchen skills are. This is a great opportunity to learn an up and coming cuisine. Must be able to taste meat (only humanely raised) for this job.

Duties include:

• Ready the wrap station for service
• Expedite orders
• Run finished dishes to tables and check in with customers
• During downtime, assist prep cook
• Break down and clean station at end of shift
• Keep track of supplies
• After full training, assist in making dosas for service, with a goal of adding dosa cook to job description
