Full-Time Private Chef
Bergen County, NJ
Full-time private chef needed for family in Bergen County, NJ. Chef will prepare and serve dinner to family five days per week, accommodating various palates within the home. Chef is also responsible for keeping the kitchen well-stocked with family’s favorite items and occasional entertaining.
Job Description:
Preparing and serving dinners to two adults and two children five days per week; and family’s additional children during holidays and summer months
Planning menus, shopping for, cooking, serving, and cleaning up after dinner
Accommodating adults’ mostly plant-based diet, and children who are not plant-based (adult and kid meals would be different most of the time)
Preparing dinners for guests on occasion
Working by the pool on Saturdays in the summer months
Keeping kitchen well-stocked with family’s favorite items
Preparing salad for lunch the next day
Schedule
Monday through Friday most weeks, weekends off
Occasional Saturday on request, with another day off
Saturdays in the summer months, with Sunday and Monday off
Dinner at 7pm, with flexibility around family’s schedule
Job Requirements:
Chef must have access to a car
Experience working as a chef in private homes
Three professional references
Knowledge of and experience with plant-based diets, as well as healthy cooking
Professionalism (polite, discreet, service driven)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to accept and implement feedback from family
Flexibility and reliability a must
Sanitation skills a must
