Part-time Baker

Knead Love Bakery is a gluten-free, mostly vegan bakery that creates gluten-free sourdough breads, bagels, cookies, treats, and specialty items. We sell at the GrowNYC Greenmarket, offer shipping nationwide, and also partner with select wholesale accounts. Our focus is on regional ingredients as well as nutrient dense baked goods, and working without refined sugars. We believe in supporting our local supply chain, and partner with farmers and growers in our region as much as possible.

We are looking for strong part- time baker to help us with our holiday production for the next few months as we are adding specialty items for a limited time (pies, cakes, cookie boxes, etc!). Vegan/Gluten-free experience is not required but a plus.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Professional kitchen experience and basic baking/pastry techniques

• Ability to follow recipes exactly as they are written

• Willingness to take direction and accept constructive criticism

• Good communication skills

• Be focused and punctual

• Have a good attitude!

• Knowledge of health hazards in food preparation and service

• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods of time

• Keeping a tidy workspace and bringing positivity to our bakery team :)

Salary based on experience.
