Wedding Reception Servers in May 2023

I'm an NGI grad and am looking to hire 2-4 servers for my wedding on May 26, 2023. We are having the wedding at Queens County Farm and are having buffet style catering.

We need a few people to unpack the rental equipment (dishes, flatware, chafing dishes, serving platters, etc) and set up the food delivery for buffet service as well as set up canned/bottled drinks in ice buckets.

Then throughout the event we will need the servers to refill ice buckets as needed, scrape food off plates (but no need to fully clean them) and pack them back up for return to the rental company, make sure chafing dishes are still keeping food hot, and then when it's time to bring our cake out from the venue's fridge along with any other small desserts and just lay them out on the serving trays we'll have.

Servers won't be responsible for cutting cake or serving food to any guests, we just need people to keep an eye on things throughout the event. At the end of the night we'll need to have all the dishes scraped and any other equipment we rented packed up for the rental company to pick up the following morning.

We have the space from 5pm-10pm, and food service (including dessert) will be from around 6:30-9:30). I would love to hire fellow NGI grads and support freelance/independent chefs and catering workers! I know the date is quite far out, but if you think you'll be available and are willing to lock the date in, I am happy to put together a contract to secure everything. Salary: $25/hour
