Martha’s Bed and Breakfast is a division of Foogal, an online mobile platform designed to help people eat better at every meal and in turn, live healthier and happier lives. Martha’s will follow suit. Our Chef de Cuisine will create beautiful, delicious breakfasts and also cheese plates for the afternoon that are delicious and health-supporting. Egg roulade with caramelized onions, house-made granola and yogurt, house-made sausage from local heritage pigs, and so much more. We’ll source as much as possible from local farmers.

We also have a media kitchen so your creations, using our recipes and perhaps some original recipes from you, will be photographed and sometimes videotaped. You’ll be part of events with guest chefs and winemakers in the afternoon.

As a newly graduated chef, starting your career with Martha’s Bed and Breakfast will be a jump-start into the culinary world on so many levels. Our executive chef, the founder of the nation’s first certified organic cooking school, will assist you as you learn the recipes.

Ultimately, you will be using your skills and passion in creating moments our guests will long remember.

Our Chef de Cuisine is responsible for the daily operation of the kitchen.

Essential functions include but are not limited to:

  • Preparing and plating all items for the bed and breakfast.

  • Being aware of culinary trends

  • Being able to alter recipes for guests’ dietary requirements. Most recipes have already been developed with those options.

Qualifications:

  • Culinary school graduate

  • Must have all necessary safety certifications

  • Promptness and attention to details are essential traits as is an easy smile for our guests.

Physical Requirements:

There is constant standing and walking throughout the shift, and exposures in a kitchen to heat, cold and hot water; ability to lift heavy pots of food and food ingredients.

Salary is $15 to $20 an hour.
